Knotweed identification

Just Discovered possible knotweed near bottom of garden at the end of a large border amongst densely packed shrubs. I’m pretty sure it’s either Japanese knotweed or Russian vine but how can I tell the difference. Although I’ve only just taken notice of it I’ve just realised it has probably been there years. It used to be my late in-laws home. They had an arch next to the bed that from a photo taken 15 years ago was covered with the stuff. Plus the plant does seem to be confined to the one area next to where the arch was and haven’t seen it elsewhere in the garden. So it makes me wonder if it really is Japanese knotweed or could be Russian vine but how do I tell?

Can you post a picture and we'll probably be able to tell which it is?

According to this site the most obvious difference is that Russian vine is a climber and is not self supporting

It looks like Russian Vine to me. A complete PITA but not as bad as the alternative😒
