Yellow leaves on roses

My new Gertrude Jekyll roses are suffering from yellowing of the leaves - they are well watered. Has anyone else had this?

    ..just normal leaf senescence in roses, especially at this time of year... just pick them off.. if they cover the whole plant from top to bottom, then please show a picture of your rose - the whole plant..

    Not a silly question at all, Penny.  Roses are pretty robust, it's hard to get it really wrong with them.
