Assistantance please! Why plant is this!

    It looks like Mauve and you can use the flowers in a tisane.  I think it is called Mallow in English.
    A good hoeing is worth two waterings.

    If you leave some seed heads on it will self seed for next year.

    I had this given by another gardener.he called it Zebra.......

  • Malva Zebrina Surprise was the variety I had.  Absolutely smothered in flowers, but all of our plants got Mallow rust (which was completely new to me, and which looked awful), so sadly we had to get rid of them.  I wonder if the native Mallow is more resistant to it; probably.
