@AnniD there's no crying coming from the house. They're all inside now and I can see a patch of darker spines that may be the mum. I've put the trail cam pointed at the door to catch any movement.

    I'll keep investigating...

  • Just to add to the hoglet saga, I have adults during the year but hoglets only appear in August here. This year one baby ( small enough to sit in a saucer and be able to turn around in it😍) seems to have been brought and left here. Yesterday at 11am it was wandering around looking for food, it had been eating as usual during the night, but like you I don't like to see them in the day. It did come out last night as usual and plenty of food was gone, I do hope it has time to put the weight on to survive winter.  It is the first one that appears to be using my hog house.😁

@AnniD @Fairygirl The mum is definitely in there! Although she's possibly getting a bit fed up with her babies! I saw one of the hoglets eating in a flower bed during the night so I'd say they're being weaned at the moment.

She moved the camera so the pictures are a bit wonky. Ignore the date and time on the pics, they go crazy when the batteries die.

Thanks so much for posting @emerb :)
That is good news. Sounds like they're all doing well.
Fingers crossed for your youngster @purplerallim 🦔

Such lovely pictures 😍 - well done you. The hoggies obviously love your garden and their home.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

    Fantastic!
You become like a new mother when they're in the garden  :)
Fingers crossed for you too @purplerallim

  • Yet again baby hog is out in the day

This is after coming to the feeding station 7 times last night ( even sharing the food with an adult, not the one from a few nights ago)

Sorry for the grainy photos from the night cam😊 As you can see half the size of an adult.
