What to do about mail order plants?

Any thoughts on how to revive plants that have been in transit and are suffering?

Here's a little convolvulus I repotted and watered, but after 4 or 5 days still sees in a bad way.

One of the problems may be that the pot is too big, if it's just come from a small 9cm one. What was the root system like ?
I would definitely show a photo to the seller if you can.

I agree with Philippa, put it in a pot just a bit bigger than it came in and cut it back, it can’t take care of all that top growth as well as making new roots.

Did you soak the rootball before repotting? If it was dry to start with, the rootball can still be dry in wet compost round it.
  • Thanks for all this. I've put it in a smaller pot, soaked the rootball and cut it back. Let's see what happens!
