picking up acorns

Can anyone suggest the best way to pick up acorns out of the lawn please. Would a leaf sweeper do it?

Do you know anyone who owns a pig?
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

The local squirrels do it round here. Unfortunately, they usually just bury them in the lawn   ;)

A brush or a leaf rake will take most of them, but even if they germinate, they don't stand up to regular mowing, if that's what concerns you   :)

Thanks Wild Edges, have even considered that but then they would eat everything else too. I can see the icon but how do I put an emoji on here?

The little icon that looks like a face is the emoji one. Just click on it and choose  :)

How odd, I tried it earlier and nothing happened - but it does now  :)

This year seems to be a mast year. The oaks are loaded. I intend raking some into bags to put out for the jays and squirrels in the winter. I currently hear them bouncing off a neighbours shed roof like little bombs.

... and bouncing off my car's glass roof with an alarming sound when driving down treelined lanes  :o
