Weed and Feed

Hi everyone, so my front lawn hasn’t had much love and care at all as I was planning on ripping it up and laying a new drive way however I’ve had a change in heart and now believe I will keep it. However due to lack of care it’s completely covered in weeds to the point there is more weed then grass. Being as it’s September I was thinking I may be able to sprinkle some autumn feed and then in a few weeks over seed but not sure that will work. Any ideas please? I will upload a photo of it to give you all an idea.
regards

It would be too late to sow seed if you use a weed and feed just now, as you need to wait about 6 weeks to avoid germination being affected.
If you use a feed alone, you'll just end up with lots of healthy weeds.

You could use an autumn product, specifically for this time of year, and cut it if appropriate [weather etc]  or leave until spring, cutting if necessary in autumn, and tackle it then with a suitable product.

  • I’ve got a week of cut sub now and dry weather is there much I can do before spring? Maybe sprinkle the lawn with a weed killer? Also my rear lawn has repaired and looks greater then ever I’ll be reseeding that soon. I showed you all when I nearly ruined it. And this is it now

I don't understand your first sentence in that post I'm afraid.
You could try a weed and feed, as I said earlier, but the conditions have to be right. Dry ground is no use.
It might be too late to use them, unless it's an autumn one. They have a different ratio of chemicals to the summer one, and I don't know whether they have a weedkiller element in them.
I don't use them, so I can't advise on how effective they are.
