Moving a buddleia

I have a standard buddleia in a border that needs to be moved. It’s a relatively young plant, only planted in May. My problem is that 1) I do not have anywhere to move it to, so was considering putting it in a 35litre pot 2) although I know spring is a better time to move it than now, the replacement pittosporum Elizabeth is currently in it’s growing pot from the nursery too.
Do I pot the buddleia now (it’s finished flowering) and plant the replacement pittosporum or wait until spring and keep the pittosporum potted? I believe planting in autumn gives more chance for roots to establish before the spring growing season, hence my query!

You can plant anything that's potted at any time of year, unless ground is freezing or waterlogged [ which wouldn't be suitable anyway ] and the reason spring and autumn are ideal is because conditions are moister, so it's easier for plants to establish, especially if you live in a drier area.
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
