Fresh wood chips
I am about to have some trees reduced in height and the smaller branches/twigs are to be chipped.... can anyone please tell me if these can be used fresh as a mulch? If not then any suggestions for use are welcome.

Some folk trot out the old wives tale " it depletes nitrogen " NOT when it's used as a mulch, and , according to the RHS , even if dug into the soil the "depletion" is minimal and has no detrimental effect on plants.
Thank you
I have a bout 40 builders' Dumpy sacks filled up with the mix.
If you provide a location for it to be chipped to ie tarpaulin perhaps with a catch barrier where you intend to store it, then it would help.
Though it depends on their particular numbers.
Put tend to put patches of chicken wire over affected areas re foxes too. I also use RSPB sonic devices, which work very well. Some blighters will happy poo on chicken wire, but not as often. I've personally not found wood chip to be more attractive to cats than gravel or open earth in my gardens.
