Crocuses

Hi! A month ago, I planted some crocuses that came cheap from a local garden store. I’ve now just realised that I might not have planted some with the pointed end facing up. Is this going to be a major problem and, if so, should I dig down and try to re-orient them assuming they haven’t started taking root?

The other issue is that the area where I planted them is covered with a layer of bark to help retain moisture in the area. Is that going to affect the crocuses? The only other plant there is the Rowan tree that I planted back in Spring.

Thanks!

They'll be fine. They just right themselves as they grow. The bark will make no difference to them either   :)
They're very nice for under rowans too.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Enjoy them when they appear  :)

I just remembered they did a trial once on Beechgrove re planting them the 'wrong' way. The consensus was that it didn't matter  :)

It may interest you to know that the corms you planted will die after flowering and be replaced by a new one which of course will be the correct way up and at the correct depth.
