Columnar pretty tree required

Need a 15/20ft tree columnar (pretty) to sheild from neighbours windows - do not want any type of fir tree/leylandi etc

    There are cherries [Prunus] which are columnar - Amanagowa is the usual one. Some Amelanchiers are columnar, or have smaller canopies and a more upright shape.

    However, if you want something instantly at that height, it will be very expensive, and will require the knowledge to get it established and keep it thriving. That isn't easy. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

  • yep, this website lists a 6m Prunus 'Amanogawa' for £239.99 https://www.ornamental-trees.co.uk/prunus-amanogawa-tree-p203 which is not too unreasonable for the size, but agree with @Fairygirl it will need looking after like one's first born for a couple of years.
