Morrison's spring bulb collections

Hi everyone, does anyone know when or even if these are due in to the stores this autumn? I've been very happy with their small narcissi collections in the past and am hoping to buy some for our local primary school to bring a bit of cheer after what may turn out to be a difficult winter. With 14 classes we need to get going with the planting asap. I've tried a few store managers and phoning but no luck so far. Thanks for your help x

Have you thought about contacting your local stores community champion @wendyruddhunter? If you work in a school and are planning a project they may well be able to help. All stores have one.

I purchased bulbs (daffodils, narcissi, muscari and crocus) in my local branch yesterday,  they also had tulips.  :)
  • Thanks AnniD, maybe they are due in soon so I'll keep checking. I'm not a car owner and am trying to avoid too many journeys on public transport. Another hour's walk will do me no harm (or that's what I keep telling myself!) Wx
  • Thanks Klink - I just found out about their existence this morning during a quick conversation with a Morrison's manager but hadn't realised they actually worked for the company. I thought perhaps it was a local organisation but haven't had time to investigate. Will contact them very soon. Wx

Lidl have started having bulbs in each week. I have bought some daffs for pots, and will probably get some tulips when they come in. I have always found Lidl bulbs to be good quality, even if they don't have a huge selection.

Is there a reason you have to use Morrisons @wendyruddhunter?
The DIY stores always have good offers on bulbs, and Lidl as @fidgetbones says. I know my sister uses them and has found them good. Some of those cheapo shops like Home Bargains too, if you don't want to use a garden centre. They can certainly be dearer, but if you don't need specific types or colours, the other outlets are good.

Worth checking online too - some of the specialist bulb suppliers offer mixed amounts at good prices.Peter Nyssen, Avon, GeeTee  etc  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Thanks to all for your help. My preference for Morrison's bulbs is really just because I like their selection of the smaller rockery/dwarf bulbs and from past experience of I go to one of their stores with a large garden centre as soon as the bulbs come in I can get everything I want in one go! I'll check out some of your other suggestions this year too though. Thanks again everyone. Wx
