Squash plants not producing squash

Hello all,
I planted the seeds of a bought squash and I grew several plants. The plants looked quite healthy but they have no produced any squash only flowers. I have removed the flowers as they looked all male flowers but still not produced anything. What did I do wrong?

  • Welcome to the forum @maria.rosiello the pots look a bit small to me. Have you been feeding them and watering them well? They don't look particularly vigorous in the photos but that may be because they are winding down for this growing season.

  • Hi, thank you for the reply. I was growing them in bags as our garden it’s small. I have grown squashes in buckets before and they did well. Maybe I should have planted only one squash per bag?
  • They are hungry and greedy plants. But well done for giving them a go. We've all been there and it's how you learn.
