Growing spring bulbs with used compost?

Dear bulb experts..
I’ve got lots of used compost from growing tomatoes and sweet peas this year.. I was wondering if they’re any good for growing spring bulbs this autumn? I understand that spring bulbs don’t need any nutrients to flower as they have all they need stored within already.. I do intend to grow them as perennials so I was wondering if it would be sufficient to fertilise them once they’ve finished flowering in spring to make up the nutrient deficient compost..? Has anyone done it before? I will be growing them all in pots.
