Courgettes

Deer have recently eaten the leaves and growing tip from my courgette plant. Does this mean the end of its fruiting or will it develop a new (side) growing shoot.

    If you're in the UK it will be winding down slowly, so if you don't have any flowers and set fruit on it can't imagine you'll see that many more.

    amancalledgeorge Thanks for that. I am actually in SW France and have 3 maybe 4  more growing weeks than London. There are some male flowers. I just can't remember if courgettes branch. The bug bear at the moment is the watering, not much in the butts (2 days) then it is cans from the house. A lot of carrying if I get no fruit. Thank you for your reply

    I'd say keep going and see if you get lucky. Not much more you can do. Maybe feed with some tomato feed to see if it makes a difference at all?
