Make chutney from green tomatoes - blight in plants

I've got some tumbling cherry tomatoes, totem tomatoes and "normal" cherry tomato plants (don't know which variety) which show signs of blight and I would say about 5 percent of the fruits are showing brown spots now. Can I still use the unripe, green ones that are not showing any brown spots yet to make chutney? I'm a novice, as this is my first year growing tomatoes at home so any advice would be welcome and is much appreciated. I'm about to take all the fruits of today/tomorrow and my neighbor told me it might be possible to make chutney, just not sure if that's a good idea given that there's blight in the plants.

The ones with blight won't do you any harm if they get into the chutney either so really don't worry about it.
  • I’ve made chutney in the past with tomatoes from blighted plants ... we suffered no ill effects 😀

  • Thanks, that's really handy to know. It's my first year growing tomatoes and so far they're going ok 🤞
