  • It's Houttuynia cordata 'Chameleon' I think.  Likes damp soil, spreads like wildfire...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

  • Thank you. Does it have a common name, please?
  • houttuynia chameleon looks great at the plant centre but planted in the garden if it likes the spot in years to come you will regret it,it will run everywhere and you will forever be trying to control or get rid of,from my comments you will gather i have got it,i think it should be sold with a invasive warning,

Don't know about a common name, but according to the RHS it's also called the heart leaved hottuynia

I’ve seen it called chameleon plant or fish mint. I have some other choice names for it... As others have said, it is a terrible thug.

Terrifying stuff. Planted some in a border, ended up with it coming up under the patio slabs. Couldn’t get rid of it.
