The text boxes on mobile can be a nightmare. With peach leaf curl disease so prevalent, I wonder how many do grow them here. Good luck with the enquiry, the forum has a lot of experienced gardeners.
It seems it is a more general term, 'vine peach' and there are many varieties. The one that has most been associated with the term seems to be the red fleshed Sanguine de Savoie. Apparently they can be grown and will fruit from the fruit stones. Some vendors mention various usual rootstock for peach, others no mention.
There are a few nurseries here in France which offer pèche de vigne grafted on a rootstock of prunus persica and describing the fruit as very perfumed, juicy and flavoursome. They also warn about growing it in a very sunny, sheltered spot because it blossoms early enough to be hit by frosts.

Yes, leaf curl and the early flowering frost.. hmm. It appears to flower fairly early but just after flavourcot, but before rochester. I am on the South downs and the wall is a good spot so might go for it if I can get one. Maybe some frost protection cover or tent from Feb.

I am looking to find a peche De vigne, and info or experience of them. Thinking of a fan on a south west wall.
