Bonus potatoes

I decided to get some compost out of the plastic dalek today. I knew there were some potatoes growing in it but I found more than I expected. We had a few for dinner and they were fine.

    There's always a few that make it in the compost heap. I tend to rip mine out but I generally find a couple of pea sized potatoes anyway. I've been digging weeds out from where we had potatoes this year as it's going to be strawberries next year... I'm finding so many potatoes I must be the worlds worst potato digger!

    It reminds me of many years going of to work and leaving my wife without digging any potatoes she went looking round the garden saw some growing on the compost heap and when she dug down she found a bowl full. of new potatoes which turned out to be the best flavoured new potato we have ever had.
