Snowdrops...simple Galanthus nivalis. In the depth of winter when the days are short,dark, grey and cold,and most plants in the garden are asleep, they make me smile and give me so much pleasure.
Add to that Hamamelis...witch hazel, with tiny scented flowers and evergreen Sarcococca...Christmas box.
