Citrus trees?

I just inherited a "Baby" orange tree and a lemon tree. They are about 3-4 feet high... Someone mentioned that I could use large wine buckets, will they still grow fruit if I do?
I need a lot of info on how to take care of them... I am sure it is covered somewhere on here, but I just seem to be overlooking it. Thank you so much!

    You will not have the same problems as I see you are in California so winter frosts may not be a problem.  This is a UK site so the majority of forum members garden in the UK but this site has some info

    I have mine in pots and grow them on a sunny, south facing front step until the nights start to get cool and then I move them to our polytunnel for the winter to escape the frosts.    How you grow yours will depend very much on your local climate.

    Have a read of the link below which will help with selecting the correct compost and feeding etc but bear in mind this is a UK based forum and the RHS is a UK gardening charity and fount of much knowledge for gardening in the UK weather system.
