Whens the latest I can lay turf?

Hi

Im looking to lay turf. Is newly laid turf susceptible to frost? Its getting a bit late in the year and may have to go away soon in which case the lawn may have to wait til spring?

Or do you think turf can go down late October time?

    It's still a bit early.   Mid autumn is the best time because the soil is moist after the rains start and still relatively warm.  Have a read of this to re-assure you - https://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profile?pid=410
