Moving a hedge of Red Robin

Advice needed please. I have an established hedge of red robin now 5 years old. See pics (they are in a raised rectangular planter) I need to move them as had an extension built a
nd just reposition from 1 side of my garden to another( still keeping them as a hedge but taking down the black picket fence and wanting them as the boundary) Is this possible as i really dont want to loose them all and any suggestions how i do this please. Do i cut them right back or move as they are? Is now a good time to do? I will attach pics of them and their position. All advice greatly appreciated

Are you moving them from the planter into the ground, or resiting the planter ?
We are going to put them back into raised beds but this time using railway sleepers so they are sturdier
The main thing is preparation of the new planting area so that they are out of the ground for the shortest possible time.
I would reduce the height to around 2 to 3 feet, and make sure you get as much of the rootball as possible. This info may help a bit

It may well be that the shock of transplanting is too much for some if not all of them, but it's got to be worth a try. If they don't make it then start from scratch
I'm sure there are other forum members to have moved photinia (or other large shrubs) who can hopefully give further advice.
Good luck!
