Rust on Iris foetidissima - what would you do?

I have two clumps of Iris foetidissima quite close to each other, and they both have quite bad rust. I ignored it to start with as it's a woodland-y bed and some extra 'autumnal'(!) colour looked fine... also they were quite hard to get to and still flowered fine. I'm now renovating that bed and have removed the plants that made access difficult, so it's time to act. I could remove them altogether and replace with a couple of self-sown seedlings (each also has a rusty leaf, but I could remove that). I could dig up and divide, replanting the healthier-looking bits (none are rust free though). Or I could discard the lot, but I would rather not as I love them.

What would you do? Has anyone any experience of Iris rust?

Never had rust on mine and I love them too, especially the fruit in winter.
If it were me, I would keep them and see what happens.

Would you divide them or just leave them? I don't think the rust is going to go away :(
