A customer brought this to me to identify but I’m stumped! Mystery climber - Looks kind of like a clematis - but it has berries forming which turn black - they didn’t know what colour the flowers were - just that they were bell shaped?
I thought both of those but can’t find anything similar!
The stem and leaves look just like a clematis - but the berries look like a solanum? It’s a climber and they said it was covering an entire area, so it’s a rather large plant. But I just can’t seem to find anything!
Problem seems to be that flower petals have died and dropped off. Your pic just shows the remaining calyx. It would really help to see whole plant/ strong healthy leaves and a flower with petals. How does it climb...tendrils or twinning.?
I’ve no idea where it is or more details, sorry! it had just been planted in someone’s garden that they had just bought. I work as a gardener in a nursery/ private garden and a customer had brought it to me to identify.
Sorry.....I didn't mean the exact house address I was trying to ask if this plant was found in UK, Europe, USA? Cornwall, Yorkshire...or central London.
