Issues with foxes fouling in garden

Hello. Does anyone have any effective deterrent for fox fouling in my lawn and on my patio? I know jeyes fluid could be effective... but based on all the previous comments I will refrain from that option. But I literally cannot cope anymore with the problem. Some mornings I literally have 4 or 5 huge loads to pick up! Sometimes they crap right on my door step... and twice they jumped up on my beautiful wicker chairs and crapped on those also!!! I used to be able to walk in my lawn freely... but now it's an unpleasant job of 'treasure hunting' crap! That's not at all hidden!!! The issue is we have a pear tree... so they come to eat the pears. But I think it's a pack of them. Help Please!

It sounds like you may be on the edge of a territory and those are boundary markers.  So, the question becomes how do you change a fox's territory?  This superb (but rather long, I'm afraid) article explains fox behaviour perfectly and should give you some insights which may help.
and from the same site, advice on deterring them:

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

If you feel its worth it - you could get one of the water scarecrows. You fix it up to a hose/tap.
They're the only effective deterrent for cats, but will work with foxes too.
The only drawback is trying to prevent them freezing, but, unless you're in a colder area, you'd get a month or two to  [hopefully]  get some effect.   :)

Thank you both for your advice. I'll look into both. It's just so upsetting! Once or twice a month I could live with! But every single day is taking over my life and the enjoyment of my garden!

One of your neighbours may well be feeding them which only makes the problem worse.  As Bob says, they will be trying to mark their territory.

It'll be a load of cubs probably, which makes it harder. That time of year  :/

Are you sure it isn't cats?
