Where should I place my first greenhouse?

I’ve got slabs on the ground between mine and the fence. When we constructed it I made sure to leave enough room to allow me to get in behind to clear any weeds etc. I’ve put on weight since then....either that or the greenhouse has moved.
XD - good idea! I also need to decide whether I’m going to use gravel inside the perimeter base with paving stone path, or leave some of the inside dirt so I can plant directly in the ground inside it

I should leave enough space so that you can access the fence panel and have room to manoeuvre to treat it if necessary.
Congratulations on getting a freebie,  hope you took careful note of the various sections and nuts and bolts etc. With luck you will have got the assembly instructions or at least the make and model number.
The best place for replacement panels is a glass supplier who will cut to size, being in London you should be able to find a local one without too much difficulty.
Good luck with the assembly,  make sure you have plenty of tea/coffee/biscuits to hand  :)
 yes! I’m very excited because I’m a teacher and a greenhouse wasn’t in the budget for a while yet! Excited to have it. We made a diagram and labeled all of the panes and parts with numbers, so hoping it shouldn’t be too difficult! Wish we had some tea and biscuits during the four hour project of taking it apart! I’ll make sure there are enough to make up for it
  • We left about 10ft between the greenhouse and fence. It gives room for a row of large water butts (330litres each) against the greenhouse, good access to the water butts plus space for storing pots out of season and a small cold frame against the fence.

We just have a central path of paving stones in the greenhouse and plant directly into the ground. Much easier than watering pots and cheaper too as no need to keep buying compost. Only change is I wish we had paved under the workbench. I didn’t as I wasn’t sure if I would want to move the bench (it was my first greenhouse and wasn’t too sure on layout. Needless to say it’s stayed put, no problems with weeds but the height isn’t quite right.
