Tulip bulbs in pots

Does anyone know if tulip bulbs in pots get tulip fire or are they ok if in pots. As when planting a bulb lasagna if I do not plant them till November the narcissi and crocus already growing and the tulips have to go in first as they flower the latest.

They can still get tulip fire in pots.

If you check the bulbs for any damage or rot carefully, use fresh compost I'm sure they will be fine.

  • If you're doing lasagne, plant them all at the same time in early-mid October. That's a bit late for daffodils and a bit early for tulips, but it's better to do it all in one go than to disturb the bulbs as they're just starting growth (not least because crocus go on top of tulips, so you'd end up lifting them out anyway).

Bulbs that get Tulip fire do not look any different from good bulbs.
