jeyes fluid

Hi, have implemented a system of cleaning my tools regularly and have a jar of jeyes fluid.  How often do I need to change it in order for it still to be effective.  It is in a Kilner type jar so not open to the air except when I'm using it.  Thank you

    I've never cleaned a single tool in 50 years of gardening.

    Me too Hostafan1 but with more time during lockdown and lots of black spot among my roses, I thought I ought to try it - but then these questions arise!

    I have a tin of Jeyes fluid that must be at least 5 years old and it still seems to be working effectively if the smell is anything to go by  :)
    I expect you're aware of the rules and regulations regarding its use, if no one else can help, you could maybe try contacting them directly.

    I'm assuming you've diluted it from concentrate? ...in which case (if it's in a sealed jar) it will last almost indefinitely.
    FWIW I use cheap disinfectant on my tools because I use them occasionally to scoop up pet waste. Having said that I clean and oil things like seccies and loppers quite often and I'll scrape mud of tools before I put them away but only because I like a clean shed.
