Why are tomato plants suddenly turning brown and wilting?

  • Did you remove the tea bags? If not, the roots will have been badly restricted and the plants just could not get enough nutrients to grow well.
    I think tea bags should be banned. They are a real nuisance. Usually removing them involves damaging the root ball to release the bag and set the roots free.

    Ah - not the same thing then @Dovefromabove :)

    They actually look ok for growing in  @bobsunscreenlist - but I think it's just what we were saying - the plants were finished for the year, apart from those flowers that are left. 
    I don't think you've done much wrong if you had a crop. Whether you try and keep plants fro next year is up to you - nothing wrong with experimenting if you have the room and the time  :)


    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
