identification of plant

i have lost half the plant label so cannot identify the plant species.

Can anybody help?

    The label suggests it belongs to Fuchsia 'Sunray'

    but the leaves don't look quite right for that to me ... 

    The only other 'Sunray' I know of is a coreopsis ... the leaves are definitely not a coreopsis. 



    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    I did look at the Fuchsia but as you say the leaves don't  look quite right

    I don't think the label relates to THAT plant. I might be 100% wrong .

    I agree @Hostafan1 - it seems to say variegated leaves, which those aren't. They're just a bit sickly looking  :)
    Worth re potting it @mike71. The soil doesn't look terribly favourable for it, especially if it is a penstemon [leaves do look like that] as it looks quite wet and heavy in the pic.
    Perhaps that would give it a little boost, and maybe next year it'll be happier and healthier, and you'll maybe get some flowers which will make it easier to ID  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    yes the plant i dug up yesterday and potted it up.
     i've had it for a year  and the  the plant didnt seem to be doing anything.
    my soil is sandy.
