Problem with my Cayenne Chilli Plants

Can anyone advise me what may be happening to my chilli plants.  Something seems to be attacking the pods where they join the stem.

    Do you mean the 2 chillies in the middle of the photo? It's really hard to see clearly, please can you post a higher resolution photo. Could be fungus/some kind of rot, where are you growing them and are any other plants affected?

    Thanks for this, but we have just found out its slugs
