Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.Â
Our friend's granddaughter is Iris. She tried very hard to say it correctly, but even when forcing the letters out by nodding her head hard when she said it, it continued to be Iwis until she was about 4 years old.
When my granddaughter was born the staff at her 2 year old brother's day care asked my daughter if she'd really called the new baby "Fear". She is actually called Thea!
