Cerinthe

I have had Cerinthe in my garden for a few years. I had some come up earlier this year but very little. The last couple of weeks I have had a lot more but it has like a grey mould type problem on the leaves. Can I do anything or is it best to remove altogether

I find cerinthe selfseeds happily in my garden and flowers its socks off in late spring and early summer ... but as soon as we get a dry spell it succumbs to powdery mildew. I think thats what is happening to your plants.
At this stage I just pull them up and compost them.

  • Thank you Dovefromabove. I thought as much, just wasn't sure if it was okay to compost.
