uber-seeded wild flower plot

FireFire Posts: 19,096
A few neighbours planted up a local plot with wild flower seed one month ago. It's much too thickly seeded. When plants seed naturally, strong seedlings would out compete the weaker ones. Is there a downside to let them fight it out or should be go in and try to prick out or hoe  - is there any benefit? Thanks.

The thugs will sort it out.  I over seed my pollinator bed every year, in addition to whatever has self seeded.. some areas are solid with seedlings.  They sort it out and the strongest rise above and the others disappear.
