    Coreopsis and goldenrod
    In London. Keen but lazy.

    The first one looks more like Helenium.
  • I agree that the first is Helenium and the second is Golden Rod (Solidago).

    Its a garden plant, useful for the back of borders etc  (and much used by flower arrangers for infill) but the seeds are fluffy and drift on the wind so it does set up home all over the place if you’re not careful. 



    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
