Hydrangea macrophylla turned green
My new hydrangea macrophylla was a lovely blue until the recent heat wave when the leaves turned a sad looking green. Is there anything I can do to restore them to blue or should I deadhead them all? I haven't been able to find the answer online and I'm fairly new to gardening! Any guidance appreciated. Thank you!

It's most likely due to lack of water though. Plants try to preserve themselves if they're stressed, and that often means flowers dying back early, or wilting, especially if those flowers are at the ends of stems.
Do you have a photo?
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
As you say - if you're expecting them to just stay blue all the time, it might be worrying.
