Is this, will it be, a pumpkin

This triffid appeared from the bottom of my compost bin, leaves a bit mildewed but what is it?

Probably comes from seeds you have thrown on the compost. Have you had pumpkins? If not could be a type of courgette.

A bit big and wrong shape for a courgette? I now remember throwing out a pumpkin. It's exciting anyway.

Nice triffid.:) the fruit and flowers look identical to my pumpkin. Is it several plants?
