Hope it’s ok to post your photo @Fairygirl How long have you had this tree? It’s beautiful.

    Is it this one @Rubi?

I bought it about a year ago. It's  Orangeola.
Acers grow very well here as the climate suits, but there are dark palmatums in every other garden. I love the dissectums for the foliage, so I took a while looking for one that was a bit different.
It'll get potted on in spring. It's in a pot inside that clay one, so I may move it into the clay one if the root system is suitable.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

My Tesco has the £3 ones again today and I've bought one as I'm happy to wait for it to grow up. We also have an acer specialist grower near me in Wimborne, all sorts and sizes.

    Apologies @Rubi - the photos hadn't loaded when I replied earlier  :)

Went down to B&Q and managed to pick up three Acers that are all 60-90cm. Anyone want to guess how much I spent on them?

They look lovely trees @Rubi, I'm guessing at about £10-£15 each?
Acers do best in shady places as their foliage can scorch in hot sun.
