Tree Problem

Hi all, first time user to the forums, so be gentle

I have a 4 small trees in the garden, planted about 3 years ago. This year 1 of them seems to have suffered for some kind of blight or insect quite badly with all the foliage affected & the other tress only slighted affected.
I’ve attached the photo’s & would really appreciate any advise on what has caused it & possible remedies.

Many thanks for any input you have.

Many thanks.

It's most likely Pear and Cherry Slugworm damage. Very difficult to control by this stage. You need to be keeping an eye in spring time when the larvae are on the leaves. This can be difficult if you have a lot of trees to inspect.

Luckily, it's not going to have lasting damage to your trees, but not all that nice looking at this time of year. You can encourage birds to your garden by hanging feeders around. They will help a bit.
  • Thanks very much for the advise. I’ll give that ago next spring for sure
