Magnolia Stellata Shrub

Looking for advice on where to best plant a magnolia stellata 
West facing in small border next to acer, small wall or south facing protected from westerly winds - coming off sea -next to shed shown in attached pics.

    Id go for the shed area, although they are lovely in flower they are pretty boring the rest of the time.
    As long as it's not a frost pocket which turns the flowers brown. 
    Mine is in the middle of my very windy garden and flowers well, from a small cheap plant from Lidl 3 to 4 years ago it seems to spread outwards rather than upwards so leave plenty of room.

    That’s interesting, @K67, as mine, planted about 25 years ago, has gone up more than out.

    @BenCotto thats an impressive tree. I think ive caused the growth habit as it's got 3 stems and looks better spread so I trim the height back now and again
