Keep doing whatever you're doing. I guess the yield will drop significantly once they've had enough or the weather gets to 'em. Certainly better than my peas, which was a total disaster this year. I had a French Bean glut so all bad.
Having said that I pulled my turnips yesterday - nearly everyone ruined by Root Fly. Gardening can be a hit n miss business at times!

To be honest, I haven't done that much @SydRoy. Put some chicken manure pellets in the soil a week before putting the 'ickle' pea plants in and watered during the dry spells. Just wish I'd had room for more.

You're right - swings and roundabouts! My radishes just wouldn't form the bulb and broccoli/cabbage/lettuce devastated by slugs, snails and caterpillars. All a learning curve but I'll definitely be growing peas again  :)

I think my problem was old seeds..lesson learned.

You've got to try them though, @SydRoy, haven't you?  ;)

I had some ancient seeds that I planted earlier this year. The rocket worked amazingly well but the rest were non-starters.
