Shrubs flowering again NOW?!!

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. Both Magnolia Susan and stellata and my Witch hazel Jelena are producing new flowers. All three gave me stunning displays this spring, although the witch hazel was only grafted three years ago, and the magnolias I've had 11 years and never seen them flower twice until now. What's going on?

    Seasonal confusion.  My hamamelis have been flowering too - Jelena and another whose label is lost - but then they did that as normal in Jan/Feb and we had a blistering April and May followed by a cold and sometimes wet June so I think they're just confused.

    Some of the biennials I sowed earlier this summer per instructions for blooming next year have started setting bud. Craziness. I checked and rechecked to see if I had made a mistake  with the months (am from the other hemisphere) but nope, these should not be doing this now!
