Water-spraying cat repellent

Having had two PestBye ultrasonic sensors rigged up for four months, we've stopped two of the regular guest cats from using our garden as a go-between but I'm still regularly digging muck out of my borders from the worst of the three, who doesn't seem interested in the scarers, no matter the frequency.

I've read very good things about the Context Scarecrow and, now that I'm rigging the garden with a perforated hosepipe for the borders, I figured it wasn't much more of an ask to hook up a water scarer. Unfortunately, however, the Contech appears to have been discontinued and the PestBye equivalent gets poor write-ups.

Can anyone recommend a good, effective water scarer please?

Thanks

A.

    Thanks Obelixx.

You'd think we're blessed not to have cat intruders in the UK, such is the dearth of available devices. Have tried the top five on that list to no avail!

It may be that, with the exception of the Contech, these are just not well-built products because those linked are also plagued by criticism.

It'd be great to hear of any anecdotes from forum users on what has worked. I know hostafan has a collection going...

I use the cheaper one, and it's ok, but they all freeze up at the first frost, so it depends on your local climate as to how much of the year you can use it. I can't use it from about October until late April usually.
I've been caught out a few times and had to replace them.
