Codling moth problem
We moved to our new house in November. There's a good sized young apple tree in front garden surrounded by gravel. Lots of fruit which I duly thinned, but now find they all have codling moth damage. Do you think the problem is that the caterpillars are over wintering in all that gravel? There aren't other apple trees in neighbouring gardens. How best to control without using pesticides? Thanks
