What happened to my crocosmia?

Hello! No sign of slugs or snails but I’m sure they are responsible. Not sure they would cause the yellow / brown dead leaves though. Any idea what’s done this? Thanks in advance.

Lack of water. Been common in many areas this year. Although they grow almost anywhere, they like a bit of moisture. There's quite a lot of planting nearby too, so they're all competing for it.

    Slugs/snails rarely touch them.

Thanks fairy girl. I have been throwing buckets of bath water over that bed, but it’s chalky so doesn’t retain water well. Will add a mulch over winter. Thanks!

    They'll be fine. They're virtually indestructible  :)
