Critter ID

Not a great photo but can anybody make out and identify the insect on my potato plant? Friend or foe?

    I can see what looks like a spider eating a fly?
    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

    Hmm - I didn't think the picture was good enough but it had gone before I could take another. Seen a few recently so I'll get a better photo next time - it's like a skinny beetle, which may or may not have retractable wings.
