Help with Skimmia

I have had this plant for some time and its been fine. This year the leaves have all been eaten away. It has been fed And watered regularly, is in a big pot of ericaceous soil. I have tried spraying it for various bugs but nothing is working and its getting worse. Please can anyone give me some advice.

The photo is pretty small so cannot see very well. I suspect it's most likely Leaf miner damage if you cannot see anything. Caterpillars also cause similar looking damage. You can trim off the damaged leaves.
  • If I cut off all the damaged leaves there wouldn’t be much of the plant left! Here’s a bigger photo.

Thanks for the clear photos. I would say that is more like Caterpillar damage or Sawfly damage. Since you cannot see anything, they have moved on. The leaves will not improve even if you leave them on the branches. To be on the safe side, I would scrape out the top inch of soil and re-apply a new layer on top to try and break the cycle of possible re-infection.
