Ipomea seeds coming through white

I planted a packet of Ipomea [ purple/blue colour] but one is coming through and flowering white. Is this normal? Frightened I have a bindweed in there!

  • Check the leaves as Ipomea are usually broader than bindweed. If you can trace back from the white flower to its leaves and they are the same as the coloured flowered leaves then it is still an Ipomea but reverted to white.
  • bertrand-mabel. The leaves are the same as the purple one...broad though lighter in colour. Thanks for the help.

I think there is a white variety of Ipomoea, so it's likely that white seeds have just got in among the others.  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Not keen on them though Fairygirl.....they look too much like Bindweed! The purple ones are lovely though.
