Maris Piper Potatoes

I am growing Maris Piper in a bag and the shaws are now falling and yellow and have tomato type growths on the bottom which I believe is nothing wrong.  I don't particularly want to lift them just now so can I cut the shaws off and leave them in the bag.  If so how long will they last in there?

  • With shaws presumably is the autocorrect for leaves? I'm afraid when potatoes are done you have to get them out and make sure their skin sets so they keep. So I'd say take them out as soon as possible, a growing bag is not proper storage.
